SUPPORT DHMS

DHMS circle logo.png

When you give money to Druid Hills Middle School's Enrichment Fund, your tax-deductible donation will help our PTSA

  • make capital improvements around the building and property

  • help fund teacher grants and supplement their continuing education

  • do a variety of special "appreciation" things for our teachers and staff throughout the school year

Our goal is to raise $35,000 for 2023-2024.

Our goal is to install a brand new sound system in the cafeteria.

We are so grateful that we were able to replace the old, deteriorating curtains and add some additional speakers in the gym, thanks to the generous donors of our 2022-2023 DHMS Enrichment Fund!

  • Provided teacher and staff appreciation gifts, supply grants, Teacher of Excellence cash awards, and supplemented continuing education

  • Funded the purchase and installation of the new Druid Hills Middle School name lettering on the building

  • Helped spruce up the lobby with new seating and plants

  • Much, much more!

In 2019-2020, the Enrichment Fund had a goal to resurface our school's deteriorating original track. Many donors and community sponsors supported this endeavor. After learning that our Druid Hills cluster was the only DCSC school cluster without an all-weather track, volunteers wrote letters and appeared in front of the School Board to create a call to action for the track to be replaced altogether. Thanks to them and to our School Board Chair, Mr. Marshall Orson and Regional Superintendent, Mr. Trenton Arnold, who navigated the system and helped secure the funding and the operational support to make these much needed improvements happen. Our new track was completed in 2020 and has been enjoyed by DHMS and DHHS students ever since!

Since the county funded the majority of costs associated with the new track, the Enrichment Fund used some of the money raised in 2019-2020 for heavy-duty trashcans and signage around the field.

We hosted a special concert by the Indigo Girls in 2019 to help radically transform our media center. Thanks to this concert, additional donations and grants, we were able to completely refit the library with new furniture!

We continue to raise money to outfit our research classrooms with mobile furniture and to bring virtual reality to our library.
